The following images represent conceptual drawings of residential, commercial and public spaces being considered within the downtown Lake Zurich area. The designs are based on initial unit-sizing and mix that is designed to support a high-quality residential solution. Additionally, the public spaces and commercial elements are intended to meet an exciting destination-approach that is uniquely possible within the Village. This destination-approach is possible as a result of the exciting lakefront elements as well as the comprehensive approach anchored within the new form-based Village code. The images posted here will be added to in the future but all are conforming to the recently passed form-based code that was the outgrowth of the Charrette process initiated last June.
In the coming months ESG will begin a series of market-testing designed to further the refinement process that will enhance the building designs, residential unit mixes, and increase understanding of the destination-focused approach to the commercial space. This process is intended to allow for progressively greater program clarity that will enable the conceptual work to ultimately create a high-quality development that has been vetted within the marketplace and the Village government during the approval process.
